Space Needle for lunch or dinner. Marriott Waterfront or the Hyatt? Dinner would be for a special birthday. What are some good places to have seafood in downtown Seattle?

your title is vague....i would post again with something about the space needle or seattle in your title.
Is dinner or lunch at the Space Needle worth the price.? Also looking at two hotels, either the Marrriot waterview or the Maxwell. Big difference in price. Would like nice view. Opinions welcome.
We only did the tour to the top of the Space Needle and back and it would be nice to eat dinner or lunch there if you can afford it. Really also depends on whether it's a cloudy day whether it's worth your time.
My in-laws went to eat lunch there and my father-in-law got a little woozy/dizzy from trying to eat there. I think they ended up leaving. I have not heard of this happening to anyone else however.
Can't help you with the best restaurants. Also try reposting, as Rizzo suggested, with Seattle Space Needle/Dining Recs as your title.
Toulouse Petite Cafe is fantastic! We stayed at the Maxwell and had breakfast there our last morning. Wish I had known about it sooner.
Thanks for the suggestion. We are also staying at The Maxwell. What was your experience like? Any things I should look out for?
I would pay to go up the Space Needle just for the observation deck. Then I'd have dinner at a different restaurant. Etta's Seafood is excellent. Or Steelhead Diner or Matt's at the Market. Uniquely Seattle.
I loved the Maxwell. Their free shuttle service was so helpful. Pesos and Petite Toulouse are right at the end of Roy St on Queen Anne. The breakfast at Petite Toulouse was the best I ever had. I had these polenta cakes with eggs and ham on top. It is one of their signature dishes.
Thanks for the info. Could we see the Space Needle in the afternoon after we get to the hotel? Is it close by? Should I make resevations?
