Fly Fishing Montana
My husband and I are planning a trip for us and family to SW Montana near Yellowstone to fly fish next year. We are torn between several different lodges that include daily guiding (all price ranges considered). Has anyone fly fished SW Montana? If so, which lodging do you recommend and what time of year do you prefer? We are undecided between pre and post-runoff.

You can't go wrong, the Madison, Big Hole, Yellowstone, etc etc. Are you talking the Bozeman area or further west??? The Missoula area also has top notch fishing- Bitterroot, Blackfoot, and Rock Creek.

Check out Yellowstone Expeditions B&B in Livingston, Montana. Small, comfy place, surrounded by excellent fly fishing. Kate is a wonderful hostess and cook, and husband Bill is a fishing guide, too, if you want one! We speak from firsthand experience!

Thank you all! We at least decided on early July and we've pared it down to two places. We are experienced fly fisherman and this trip is alllll about the fishing. Henry's Fork Lodge was one of the first places we looked in to but it was a little too expensive. Most of the places we are looking at are around $3,000 for 4 days of all-inclusive guided fishing. Anyhow, thanks again for the suggestions.
