Florida Vacation Rental
Is it possible to find a clean, safe rental unit for a 65 year old couple for $1200.00 or less per month for one month anytime from the first of January to end of March. It could be Mobile Home ,Condo or whatever equiped with bedding, dishes, etc, and does not have to be waterfront. We would have our car so can drive to beach etc. We prefer Southwest Florida but are open to suggestions. Just want to leave Nova Scotia Winter for some reasonably warm weather.
Thanks

I suggest that you go to vrbo.com, find the map on the home page, click on Florida, then click on "All" under southwest. There are too many cities and areas to even begin giving advice. Look through the listings and if you find something that looks like it meets your needs, post the information about the property (location, resort, etc) to get feedback. Hope this helps you get started on your search.

I use VRBO for most trips but with my old computer I can't seem to get by the hundreds of places for $2000.00 a month and up. Just hoping someone may have a place they could sugest. Thanks though and I will keep looking on VRBO as well as other sites.

Here are a number of vacation homes in the FL area through a similar site to VRBO (should be easier to navigate). $1,200 may be a stretch but there are some reasonably priced, nice looking homes there.
I'm also sure you could try to talk to one of the homeowners into giving you some sort of deal if you were to rent for an entire month. Good luck!

I appreciate the help but guess I will wait till I get another computer. The VRBO site is slow on this computer but I can get around on it if I take my time. The site you gave me is far worse,Clicking on the link just gives me about a dozen pages so I opened a new browser and typed in the address but it is so slow I can't use it. Thanks again.

On VRBO try Cape San Blas. It is more in the panhandle so will not be as warm but you could probably find your price range. We spent 3 winters there and usually had 60's which was much better than snow and ice!

japw82, I'm trying to figure out your post. What does the availability of a condo for the month of January in Reddington Beach for the cost of $2495, have to do with someone looking for a Southwest Florida condo for $1200?
