Florida beach honeymoon location
I'm planning a honeymoon for this June. I would like to find a place where there are plenty of things to do, but where we can find some peace and quiet. I definitely want something on the beach with beach activities available.
Due to fares, well be flying into Orlando, but are willing to drive a couple of hours to get to a good location. Im currently kicking around getting to the Gulf coast. St. Petersburg and the TradeWinds resorts (SandPiper) looks like a possibility.
I'm also thinking of maybe hitting Disney/Univeral Studios late in the trip. Is this a good idea for a honeymoon? Which would be better?
Nothing can beat individual feedback. So any help/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

The Don CeSar Resort on St. Pete Beach is beautiful. As for Disney or Universal, schools get out here in mid-May, so they might be packed with kids and families, making the wait for rides incredibly long. That might not be something you want to do in the June heat.

If you have the money, a must stay is Seaside, Florida, stay in the honeymoon cottages. Right on the beach. Lots to do to unwind during the day.
Look up seasidefl.com (or do a search for seaside florida...
Dreamy cottages right on the gulf... i think we stayed in cottage #6, steam room in shower, jacuzzi in screened in porch right on beach, hear the waves at night, upstairs in the cottage features a fireplace, kitchen, cozy, and open porch with two rocking chairs overlooking the gulf... amazing, brilliant, memories int he making,, cute village for shopping, dining, drinks, sing alongs, etc... enjoy.

I am on a bit of a budget. I would like to stay under $200 a night. Could you provide further details on the Don Cesar? St. Pete Beach or Clearwater are on the top of my list right now.
I think I would prefer a hotel for the ability to order room service and such, but am opend to other ideas like Seaside as well. I'll look into this further.

Check out the resort at www.doncesar.com. While it might seem above your budget, they also have some great packages that wound be in your budget.
