FLORIDA - New Port Ritchey/Dunedin Area. Looking for accommodations in Spring 98

2 retired couples, looking for accommodations in March of 1998 in the New Port Richey or Dunedin area. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we could look. Preferrable a 2 bedroom condo. Thanks

I lived in florida for more than 10 years and still have relatives in area. Can I ask why you picked these two locations for a vacation site? I really do not think you will be happy with New Port Richey, due to the fact its not anywhere near good florida spots, i.e., beach, more touresty places. I would recommend the strip of clearwater beach all the way to St. Petersburg. I would look up in your search mode florida's travel bureau. There are lots of condo sites to choose. If you have anymore questions or need advice on a particular area please feel free to E-mail me and I'd be more than glad to help you if I can.

Hi there!
With all due respects to Brandi's opinion, I think that New Port Ritchey and Dunedin are terrific spots! They are just close enough to Tampa and St. Pete so that you can go to the things like the Titanic exhibit and the Pier, but far anough away to feel like you are in a small town.
I worked in Dunedin for a short spell. There are many terrific small hotels in the area. Try The Inn On The Bay in Dunedin. I haven't stayed there, but I hear that it is nice.
Honeymoon Island is in that area. It is a very nice nature area.
enjoy!

Clearwater Beach is the fun spot! We stayed at Sails Apts on Bay Esplanade, great furnished condos on the bay side and modern, reasonable rates. And the Show Queen Dinner boat has a great Sunday Brunch. Have fun!

We are leaving for that area on the 18th of February. We did not have any luck with condos at a reasonable rate so went to a three bedroom house with it's own screeened in pool for $560 a week. This area seems to have many of these kinds of houses for rent at reasonable rates. They seem to be all owned by people from England. I searched under vacation homes to rent in New port Richey and located it that way. If I can be of more help let me know.
