Flight NYC to AK

Wondering if anyone knows what would be considered a "good" price for a flight from New York to Anchorage in August/September. I found a flight on travelociy for 2 people $800.00 and am wondering if that is a good price or if I should wait--if the prices get better. Thanks!

Assuming $800 for both of you? I.e., $400 each? If so, sounds okay.

Or, you can wait. Feel lucky?

I would also cross-check using at least one consolidator such as www.onetravel.com and one aggregator such as www.itasoftware.com. Sometimes the differences can be significant and other times not but I WOULD check before making any final financial decisions.

thanks!
Checked orbitz and suggested onetravel, and 800 for 2 people (400 each) seems to be the going rate right now. Does anyone think it will actually go lower--inthe spring maybe? That seems pretty resonable to go all the way to alaska.

This is an excellent rate- I would purchase them, I spent $500 for an open jaw last year that I was very happy with and didn't find lower, year before, I paid $640.

It's not likely to go much lower if at all. If that is a price you can live with, it is better to have a sure thing. I just paid $300 for Seattle.

I agree this is an excellent price, assuming it's the total for two. Last year I paid close to $700 in late August, and that involved 2 change of planes. And that was the cheapest flight I could find, booking rather late in June.
