Flamingo Hilton any good/bad experience?
I am thinking of staying for the first time at the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas. I know it's one of the older properties on the strip. Are the rooms ronovated, size, pool area, service, etc...? Please let me know your experience. Is the pool area of the Aladdin better than the Flamingo? Thanks

Everything about the flamingo is fairly good except the location, which is PERFECT, as its mid-strip. The pool is also great, one of the nicest on the strip, but is usually very crowded.
If you haven't already done so, do a search here for TONS of info and opinions.

We had a fine stay - although only one night - this past August. FYI - this property is no longer a Hilton (I discovered that when I tried to use Hilton points) - Hilton is building a time-share type property near Flamingo.
Try typing in Flamingo here to do a search (rather than Flamingo Hilton) and you will get lots of current info

Stayed at the Flamingo our first trip to VEgas. The location is great, nice pool but crowded (very much when we were in there in Aug), . They have an excellent breakfast buffet. From what I understand, some rooms are renovated, some are not. Our room was fine. IT was quite large, too. The Flamingo also has the new MArgaritaville restaurant if you are a Jimmy Buffet fan

Stayed there last June. Luckily for us, we were on East coast time and waking up at 5:30 am so when we got to the pool at 7am there were still chairs. Great pool area but it gets crowded by 9. Renovated rooms are quite nice. Location is perfect. Buffet is good too. We found this "pool party rate" when looking directly at the Flamingo website. It was something like $55/night weeknights and $109/nt weekends. It included complimentary drinks and 2 for 1 on the buffet. We also signed up for their players card which could be used at any of the Park Place properties (Caesars, Paris, MGM, and a few others). I'm not a big gambler but by the end of the 4 days I had earned a t-shirt and $10 off my room bill. The more you play, more points you earn and the deeper the discounts you can get! Good luck.
