We are trying to come up with the name of a fish restaurant in northern Missouri. Our family gathers for a reunion in southern Iowa and remembers going there as kids. It would have been somewhere south of Bloomfield IA - but probably not too far. It was a quirky type place - I think with lots of "stuff" on the walls.

It may be The Catfish Place in Arbela, Mo. Definately quirky. Fun memories for kids (feeding the fish). It has a restaurant serving fried catfish on the edge of a large pond/small lake. In the last 10 to 15 years it has expanded to include camper and RV rentals.

I think that they did have fish feeding. I just vaguely remember it myself (and then I only think I do), but I think the others went there again more recently than I did.
That would only be about an hour from Bloomfield, so I just bet it has to be the place. Thanks for your help!!!

I sent the link to my cousins and they think that this was the place. One said she could remember the little island. She said that it was nighttime when we came out and it was all lit up and magical. She would have been 3 or 4 at the time and I think it is amazing that she remembers it at all.
Thanks so much mustoe.
