Finger Lakes with kids 10 and 12

We have read lots of great info here on the Finger Lakes area.
I am wondering if we can bike with kids to wineries, from 2 perspectives:
1. Is it safe biking with good bikers, but they are kids, so don't want to go on a busy road, and
2. Whether we bike or drive, are any wineries kid-friendly so they can eat cheese and crackers, run around a nice outdoor setting, etc?

Any favorite wineries? We like wine but have never had wines from this region. We are not connoisseurs, so would like to learn while there and be in nice surroundings.

We are staying in Ithaca for 3-4 days - either going to book the Inn on Columbia or William Henry Miller Inn, still undecided. If anyone has an opinion? We love old charm and in-town convenience.

We may go to Skaneateles for our last night. Any recommendations there for lodging for only 1 night that won't need a minimum stay? We could get a B&B with a suite or an Inn.

Any recommendations leaving Skaneateles heading toward Hershey, PA on places to visit or stay? We will have 1 day at Hershey Park and another unplanned.

Thanks!
