Fine dining recs for Phx/Scottsdale?
Please help! My in-laws live in Gilbert, they will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this fall. We would like to send them to a nice romantic dinner somewhere in the greater Phoenix area. Something contemporary, perhaps a steak house, NO Mexican, Italian, Asian, or French. Anywhere from $100 to $200 for complete meal for two including wine. Thanks so much for your recommendations!

North's restaurant in the shopping area Kierland is great. I also like Villa Hermosa-lots of atmosphere and good food. The ver best restaurant is in the Phoenician Hotel and is called Mary Elaine's. While the menu is French, your parents will have other options. The view is spectular and service first class

Durant's is great, especially for the old school atmosphere. Capital Grille in the Biltmore Fashion Park. The Rokerij (16th St and north of Camelback). Drinkwater's City Hall (near Scottsdale Fashion Square).
