Final Four Weekend in New Orleans

I am so excited to be heading back to the Crescent City next weekend! As I've been going through a lot of life changes, I haven't had time to visit the forums in a long time. However, I knew you all would share my joy!

This time, I'm staying at Loft 523 just outside the Quater in the Warehouse District. As we planned this last minute at one of the busiest times in New Orleans, we were just happy a room was available! We've heard wonderful things about this boutique hotel and can't wait to check it out.

This time around I am hoping to take a Voodoo tour/Haunted tour... any recommendations? I've read some good things about Bloody Mary, but would love input from those who have taken one recently!

Fingers crossed my tarheels can overcome injury and get to NoLa with me next weekend- maybe they could use a Voodoo love to help them out!

Thaks, Dukey1. Your Wildcats are looking good this year, so I'm guessing we'll see them on the court in NoLa.

I just booked Bloody Mary's Tour of the Undead for Friday night... it's a shot in the dark, but seemed to have some good reviews on trip advisor. Let's hope we haven't had too many day time cocktails by the time the tour starts to enjoy the voodoo and ghost stories.

I saw where another forum post mentioned swamp tours? Any recommendations on that????

French 75 Bar @ 813 Rue Bienville, New Orleans, LA. 504 - 523 - 5433.

Roosevelt Hotel Bar is a cool spot with great upscale bar food. Long drinks are well made and tasty. I would not stray too far beyond the list. It has no connection to the Roosevelt Hotel next door.
Roosevelt Hotel Bar @ 116 University Place, New Orleans, LA 504 - 566 - 9444.
Sazerac is an amazing restored art deco bar inside the Roosevelt Hotel. The Sazerac is done well. there are some serious bartenders here.

Swizzle Stick Bar at Loew's Hotel in the CBD takes classic cocktails seriously. The drinks are always reliable and it's a great hotel bar for the atmosphere.

Thanks, Littleman. I have been to several of your recommended stops, but will have to try out the others if time allows.
