Fiery Furnace Hike in Arches national park
We are planning a trip to Arches national park this summer. Unfortunately after realizing Fiery Furnace Hike is a must do hike found out the dates we will be there are already booked online for ranger led hike. Wondering chances of additional times for hike being added or if you think hike is worthy of doing with outside company? Outside company's charge around $85.00 a person which is awfully expensive compared to the $10 national park fee.

Will additional times be added? Perhaps. See below
http://www.nps.gov/arch/planyourvisit/programs.htm
"Afternoon tours in 2015 will be offered as staff is available. Tickets for afternoon tours will be sold in person at the front desk up to seven days in advance. Tours sell out quickly; stop by the visitor center as soon as you arrive in Moab to inquire about the next available spaces."
Is the hike worthy of doing with outside company? For $85 I would say no.
Keep checking the online system and see if any spots open up in the morning tour for your travel dates. Otherwise stop in at the Visitor Center as soon as you arrive and see if you can buy tickets for an afternoon tour. If neither of those pan out, just skip it. There is plenty of scenery and hiking in Arches and Moab, there's no need to pay $85 for the Fiery Furnace hike.

Absolutely agree with WhereAreWe.
It's likely there will be cancellations as the tour is booked this far out so do check both online and with the visitors centre.
Regarding afternoon tours, it does get hot! We did this hike in April and I personally wouldn't want to take an afternoon hike there in summer as it will live up to it's name

One of the interesting things about the Fiery Furnace is that it is usually about 10 - 15 degrees cooler in the shade among the "fins" than out in the sun. The rocks combined with the shade have a refrigerator effect.
At Zion, the hike up to Angel's Landing has a section called "Refrigerator Canyon" where you get the same cooling effect. It sure feels good on a hot day.
If the weather is really hot when you visit, consider a float trip on the Colorado River, a whitewater trip in one of the other canyons (guided), or you can opt for an inflatable kayak paddle upstream from down on the CO River where the water is fairly calm (guided).
