Is there a ferry that will go to Nova Scotia? I know that the "CAT" is not running anymore in Bar Harbor. Any other place to board a ferry to Nova Scotia?

No, there is no ferry service anymore. The closest ferry to Nova Scotia runs from St. John, New Brunswick to Digby, Nova Scotia.
I've heard it's being considered to resume next year though.
Hez, good to hear the ferry might resume next year. Do you know why it was cancelled? We took the ferry from Portland 3 years ago & it's so convenient.
It was being subsidized by the Nova Scotia government and they stopped the subsidy.
Does anyone know if the Bar Harbor, MA ferry service to Nova Scotia was re-instated. I'd like to take it July '12.
Bar Harbour is in Maine (ME) but that being said, still no ferry.
