Favorite store window s in NYC?

Wondering what everyone's favorite store window displays are this December? Plan to head in from the suburbs for dinner and some wandering around late one afternoon during the holiday week. We'll probably start in Grand Central, and then will pick an area to walk around in. Don't need to visit Rock Center, unless we hear that the Saks windows are not to be missed. Thanks.

Well Saks windows are NOT to be missed this year great for kids and have a nice message.

I also LOVED the windows at Macy's this year (last year they were pretty awful) and Lord&Taylor has the familiar family theme, from bygone years to the 50's a very nice and well thought out display.

If you are on the hunt for something unusual the windows at Barney's are......unusual.

I liked the windows at Macy's best this year, especially at night when the Empire State Building is glowing and easily visible from the sidewalk in front of the store.

Don't miss the light display at Saks (starts at 4:30 and runs every 15 mins.) and the light show at Grand Central is nice.

I agree, the light display at Saks is great and you will not be able to get that song out of your head! The Cartier store up the street has an animation that goes off about every 15 minutes.

McLaurie- does Citigroup have a big train display this year? I did not make it there this year.

My favorite windows are at Barney's at 60th/Madison featuring the "Andy Warhol-idays." Very original.
