Family Lake resort in NY, VT, NH?

Need a recommendation for a great summer family lake resort in NH, upstate NY or VT. I don't care about price at this point. My requirements:

1. A beautiful easily accessible beach area with easy walking access to lodging.

2. Very good food

3. Casual atmosphere

4. Lots of kids' activities and room for them to run

Do NOT want anything overly fussy or fancy. The luxury thing doesn't do it for me, especially with kids.

Purity Spring Resort seemed perfect for us, but they are pretty well booked right now for the larger accommodations we'd need for our small extended family. Anything similar?

Best place in VT with your requirements is Tyler Place Family Resort. It is extremely popular. Some families return year after year. They may already booked for this summer, but well worth checking out.

We went to Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in Highland NY a few years back and loved it. http://www.rockinghorseranch.com/ All inclusive with daily horse back rides, banana boat rides on lake, nice pool and indoor water park.

Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain in VT! Sounds just like what you are looking for.
