We've done it in New England and it looks like in the future we may be doing it in either North Georgia or somewhere nearby.
My question is (of course) is there/are there some really special places you can recommend from experience?
We may be looking at the possibility of a cottage rental eventually (probably not until next year) and wanted to start some research now.
Lake areas?
Appreciate any and all responses and thank you in advance.

Topping
One more top for this.
The colors in the SE will not be anything like what you saw in New England, of course.
You might want to check out the route Georgia Mountain Parkway ngeorgia.com/gmp/ Several state parks up in that area.
Many people like to go further north into North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway too.
Kay2,
Thanks for your kind response and very helpful information. I'll do some further research. Best wishes to you.
