Estancia Spa & Resort La Jolla

Anyone stay here lately? I've read some not great things about the service, cost for fees, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

I stayed there 4 weeks ago. Loved our room, LOVED the spa, and enjoyed the room service food. We were there for a wedding, and the food and service for the reception was fantastic.

Sunday brunch buffet in the restaurant was tasty, but overpriced and had limited items available. Pool servers were AWOL much of the time, but once there were friendly and the food was goo. Other service, such as room cleaners, phone help, etc was friendly and mostly good. Check-out, though, was a mess! I was overcharged by the spa, and despite my having the actual receipt from the spa, it took half an hour for the spa people to respond and correct them. Lots of others seemed to be having financial issues at the same time as I was.

Overall though, I'd say it's avery nice hotel, although somewhat overpriced. I would like to stay here again for a restful vacation, (it isn't a convenient location for shopping or sightseeing) and definitely plan to come back and spend time at the spa when I'm in San Diego again.

Stayed once, won't be back. Service was so-so... Thought it was nice, but not for the price. The Lodge at Torrey Pines is much, much nicer. Just down the street....

Had drinks at Estancia..Expedia has deals for around $229 a night and for La Jolla in the summer that is a great deal.
I would stay there in a heartbeat if I didn't live in LJ..
Love the Lodge at Torrey Pines but very pricey and very rare to find deals..

Thanks to all that submitted their thoughts, I appreciate!
I've read some things online about the checkout and how they are having issues. Let's hope we don't.
Thanks again!
