Entertainment Book vs. A3H Gold Card for Maui

Aloha

I've been lurking about these forums, planning our Oct., 2004 trip to Maui, and getting tons of info and help. Thanks to all of you. The Entertainment Book Hawaii can now be purchased for $10 plus $5 shipping for use through 11/1/04. Any thoughts on how useful this is compared to the A3H Gold Card for $30? There seems to be lots of discounts for good activities on the A3H Card, but I really can't get a good feel for the discounts on the Ent. Book. We already have air/hotel/car booked, so wouldn't need any additional help there. It would be used mostly for activities and dining. If anyone has used either of these recently, I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks

I looked at the Entertainment book website and it seems that the majority of their coupons benefit Honolulu/Oahu visitors. Still, might be worth it for $10, take a look

I bought the Gold Card on line, received my # by email the next day and booked trips with Trilogy and Maui Kayaks and saved $103 before taking away the $30 for the card. I am using it on other islands too so my total savings so far is $186. This is with buying tickets for 2 adults and I will try to use it for some meals too.

After I received my # I emailed the merchants directly rather than using the Gold Card website. I wanted confirmation from the company directly so I could print it out and take with me.

Entertainment book has great rates for the hotel "partner" program, 50% off rack rates...and believe me, I researched everywhere online until I came to the conclusion that it was best deal for hotel discounts. Of course these are mostly for 2* - 4* hotels like Astons or Outriggers. If you haven't made reservations, the $10 bucks alone is worth it, I just ordered mine a couple months ago for $25.

Thanks for your replies. I guess it's probably worth the $10, but I'll go ahead and get the A3H card also. I sure wish we were leaving this month, instead of October!
