Emeril's Restaurants LV
We have a gift certificate for an Emeril leggase restaurant. I will be in LV this Sat. I am contemplating which one to go to while in Las Vegas. The choice is N.O Fish house located at the MGM or Delmonico Steakhouse. Has anyone been to either? Also shall I be sure to make a reservation? It says walk in accepted. Thanks for any replies.

I always check Larry's reviews of the 90+ restaurants in Vegas that he's dined at ... he has something posted for Delmonico from several years ago (to be fair Larry is not really a steak guy) and for Emeril's at MGM, which you may find of use. From what he says I think I'd pick Emeril's at MGM:

The earlier you reserve, the better the table you get. Restaurants generally reserve the best tables on a first come basis (preferred customers & VIP get bumped to better tables of course).
Walk-ins (non VIP) generally get what's left - usually the least desirable tables.
I have not been to any Emeril's places in Las Vegas, but even if I had, I'm not sure if I would be the best one to tell you if you want seafood or steak....

Have eatern multiple times at both and prefer Delmonico's. Greart service, thought the food was excellent and prefer the atmosphere there to the Fish House.
On last visit to the Fish House it seemed too noisy and the food wasn't as good as we had remembered.

Thanks I all ready booked the fish one based on fact I wanted to go to Vic's at the Golden Nuggut for steak. I reserved the MGM restaurant. It is difficult if cause we are seeing shows most nights beginning at 7:30. Restaurants do not open till 5. I only have one night free for an early dinner.

The Emeril's in Detroit's MGM Grand Casino just closed. Not that this is an indicator of what might become of the brand's restaurants - but if it were me, I'd be sure to use up that gift certificate. Just trying to give you a heads up....

Oh yes for sure. Thanks. I had one experience like that here where I live. The restaurant changed owners, new name, had a gift card. The new owners were nice enough to honor it--it if had closed down altogether I would have been out of luck.

I have returned from my LV trip. I would not be at all surprised if this restaurant closes in MGM. If it doesn't it should!! I should have listened to you all. It was nothing to write home about limited menu, prices outrageous and difficult for myself to even find something I would like. I opted for a shrimp and rice dish it was ok but I was terribly underwhelmed. I did have a seafood Bisque soup and it was very good. Considering prices it was nothing great.

Paul--not exactly it did not cover all of it only about half but that is still better than the entire bill.
Tomfuller, Vic's at the Golden Nugguet was suberb--awesome meal everything was wonderful!! No complaints there. It was by far the best meal I had while in LV. I ate at a mexican restaurant at TI it was not good either. I went to the Buffet at the Wynn. It was good for the price, but I recall the open crab legs being warm. They are now served ice cold. (??) Le Reve was excellent though. Great show.
