What is the embassy suites in the plaza area like? Is it very new? It seems to me, I read somewhere that it was starting to show some age and I was wondering if it is in need of a renovation?
Thanks!
Craig

You probably clicked on some city names, but that is just to INDEX this topic by. We readers only see one message of many in the United States forum with "Embassy Suites Plaza ???" as the topic. Kansas City??
Yes, sorry, KC.
The Embassy Suites do need a facelift. I am unsure of your budget but the Fairmont on the plaza is very nice.
The Fairmont is probably the nicest hotel in Kansas City and is located on the Country Club Plaza. Other alternatives to the Embassy Suites with reasonable rates are the Hampton Inn Suites and the Residence Inn. Both are newer and within two blocks of all the shops/restaurants/bars. I've had collegues stay at both properties and they have been pleased. If you want to stay in the Westport area, try The Quaterage. Also very nice with reasonable rates. Any of the hotels mentioned above would be a better bet than the Embassy Suites.
I stayed at that Embassy Suites a year ago and it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on! I have always stayed at many Embassy Suites and have been satisfied in the past. My advise is to look elswhere. It is also worn out and noisy. I did love the plaza area though. I remember seeing other hotels-I just can't remember there names .
