I am driving to Florida from Philadelphia with my two small sons and husband in our SUV. I was hoping someone might have some recommendations for a campsite along the way that is private, and in a very natural setting (no heated pool or concession stands, RV generators etc) preferably on the beach. Maybe somewhere in VA, NC, or SC?
Any advice on good camping spots?
Thanks so much!!!

One possibility is Hunting Island State Park near Beaufort SC. Caping is available right on the beach. However, the peace and quet is a bit of a challenge. No generators as elec is available but up until school starts it is popular and crowded. Google it and see what you think.
Or there's Edisto Beach. SC, State Park site. About 1 hour from Charleston. Electric and hot showers available. Google that one and see what you think. It's very natural and private (even if a state park).
Here's your other thread with suggestions -
