Just me and the boyfriend. Leaving Friday February 17, 2012 through Wednesday February 22, 2012/
We would like to see things like wineries and cheese places and zoos and aquariums.
Upstate like Saratoga and Finger Lakes are 14 degrees in February.
Any other ideas? Gambling, comedy clubs, day spas, etc are all good too!
we are thinking of going from long island to new jersey and then to pennsylvania and possibly delaware.
thanks
Driving trip from long island to..... in february

Can't believe no one answered you, so I'll give it a shot. Hope you still see this. I'm not familiar with wineries in NJ, but there is an Aquarium in Camden that's pretty good. That's right across from Philadelphia and you could do the Philadelphia Zoo.
If you head down 202 through Flemington to Lambertville and cross the Delaware River near New Hope PA there are several wineries in Bucks County. The closest one is Sandcastle along the River Road just north of New Hope. The New Hope area has a lot to see as far as shopping, and Washington Crossing Park is just south along the River road.
Driving north on the River Road, one can cross back and forth between NJ and PA over tiny bridges and visit places like Milford and Frenchtown and Stockton. The scenery is great.
Have a nice trip!
If you head to Mystic CT you will be in an area that has most of what you want. Some vineyards in Stonington, a great aquarium and two huge casinos within a short distance.
You could drive down the Delmarva, although it will be quiet in winter, and depending on how far you want to go, across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge into Tidewater Va. It won't be toasty, but warmer than Long Island, and a LOT warmer than upstate.
