driving to and from yelowstone and the tetons

I am looking for driving directions from salt lake city to Grand Teton national park. I want a pretty direct route. For the return, i am looking for a route fro mCody, Wy back to salt lake city. Possibly scenic with a possible overnight stop half way. About how long does that take anyway?

We took route 89 up to Jackson.IMO I wouldn't base my overnight stop on scenery or you'll be disappointed. There were some scenic spots, but nothing compared to what you'll see in the Tetons and Yellowstone. I'd say it takes approx. 5 hours going this route depending on how often you stop. We came back through Idaho so I can't help you there.

Have you looked at a road map?
The approaches are essentially 2.
One from the west over the Teton pass and one from the south along the Snake River.
