Driving time from BWI to Washington rush hour

Best guess from BWI to Foggy Bottom area on a Thursday AM, leaving BWI around 8:30 AM. Any difference if it is 9/13 which is Rosh Hashonna?

Well, it is toward the end of rush hour, so that is good. Jewish holiday won't make any difference. From the time you get in the car, I would say 30 minutes to the DC beltway and then probably another 30 to 45 minutes to Foggy Bottom.

The holiday Rosh Hashonna won't make any difference - DC traffic is DC traffic. Maybe you'll arrive on a good day and the beltway won't be backed up.

I live 20 minutes south of BWI and take the parkway to work. Given no accidents (which are not uncommon), 30-35 minutes from the car rental garage to the beltway is probably right. From there it generally takes me 30 minutes to get to 14th & K in rush hour and going to Foggy Bottom will take longer, maybe as much as 15 minutes. I'd count on at least 1.25-1.5 hours to be safe. Listen to 103.5 fm as soon as you can pick it up to get traffice reports every 10 minutes on the 8's--its the best one around.
