Driving from Newark, NJ to Laramie, WY in April

Jump to last reply

I'm driving from Newark, NJ to Laramie, WY in the middle of April and plan to get there in the least amount of time. Google maps give's me three options

A) I-80 the whole way from NJ to WY

B) I-78 to I-70 to Columbus OH toward I-74, I-72 and I-29 to Lincoln NE before re-entering I-80 toward WY

C) I-80 to Austintown in OH and then via Columbus onto I-70, and on toward Lincoln NE along the same routes as in option B).

Which route would cost less in Tolls?
What alternativess do I have to minimize/avoid to much traffic?
Is it worth having an EZ pass from NJ to IL?

Thank you for any suggestions,
