Hi,
I live on Cape Cod and next week I need to drive to Gilbertville, Massachusetts (middle of state).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a restaurant? Not looking for anything fancy, just quick but decent food. We're used to clam shacks here on the Cape & something like that would be fine. Not really into chains.
Doesn't appear to be much in Gilbertville, but maybe something along the way?
Thanks.

Trip Ideas
For the sake of other posters like me who have lived in MA all their lives but never heard of Gilbertville: It's part of the town of Hardwick (pop 3000), near Worcester.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I seem to have an unintentional knack for having to go to unknown places. We're going to be spending about 6 hours round-trip & trying not to starve to death. I found one (1!) restaurant (pizza place). Was hoping someone might have an idea. Thanks again.
Don't worry, you won't starve. Westa Woosta is Terra Incognita to most of us, but Worcester is a respectable small city and somebody will come along soon with something much better than pizza.
Beth1096,
This restaurant is very close to 495 - within one mile. Everything is delicious and they are quick. Linguine's Italian Eatery.

Actually there is a fabulous restaurant in the center of Barre, on the green, called Picasso. http://www.dineoutpicasso.com/ This place serves fresh innovative food (local, fresh, some organic but not pretentious). It has been reviewed by the Worcester Magazine and Telegram and Gazette and draws folks from all over Central MA. It is definitely worth the drive from Gilbertville. They serve dinner Wed-Sun with live entertainment on Thurs. night. The bar is great, unusual martinis and other special drinks. All in all, it should be Zagat rated but I doubt that the Zagat folks get to Barre! We stumbled upon it while visiting friends in Rutland and have been dreaming about the food ever since!
