We will be staying in NYC for a week and would like to fly to Buffalo, rent a car and drive to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Approximately how long of a drive should we expect midday on a Monday? We will be returning on May 24 (the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend) so how much time should we allow to get back to the airport?
Any stops along the way we should'nt miss?

The Buffalo airport is 30 minutes from Niagara Falls and allow 15-20 minutes at the border inspection... on your return it should be the same, but allow an hour to include the rental car return... that's in addition to being at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight...
Stops along the way should include the US side... follow signs for Niagara Falls via Robert Moses Parkway and stop at Goat Island State Park... there you should ride the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds as well as have a close up look at the water as it goes over the falls...
Also have a look at the Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake posts on the Canadian forum.... and also look into the Whirlpool Jets Boats if their season has started... Have Fun!
