I'm planning a trip for next year's fall color (yes, I plan waaaay ahead) and I was thinking it would be a lovely trip to stay in Camden, Maine and then drive through to Quebec City. Has anyone had any experience doing this? I figure the first or second week of October would be the best time to go as far as fall color goes. How is the drive and does anyone have any advice?
Thank you!
PS I'm posting on Canada's forum too.

We returned a couple of weeks ago from a trip which included Maine and Quebec City. We did stop in Camden, one of our fav Maine coastal towns. From Camden, we spent several days in Bar Harbor/Acadia. We have a report posted: Part 1 of a 3-part report posted under Maine, which describes our drive from Maine to Quebec City, and another part posted under the Canada Forum which describes our time in Quebec City. Maybe some of the details will be of help in your planning.
Thank you! Can't wait to read it.
If you are renting a car, you will be making sure your rental car can be taken to Canada. You also will not be able to leave a rental car and fly back. You will need to bring the car back.
If you are driving your own car, all you need is a "Canada card" from your insurance company to show financial responsibility across the border.
National Car Rental allows a Quebec City airport pick up and Portland Maine airport drop off, with unlimited miles.
