Drinking a beer in all 50 states for cancer reseach. Need bar suggestions!
Hi guys. Over the past 2 years I have had a beer in all 351 Massachusetts towns and all 169 Connecticut towns and raised over $90k for cancer research.
Next year I am going big and drinking a beer at the best place in each of the 50 states. I am hoping to raise 100s of thousands for cancer research. If you have any suggestions as to any awesome bars that would host fundraisers in your area please let me know. You can reply in the thread or through my website www.usapourtour.com
Thanks!

In Florida, I would go to the Lorelei Tiki Bar in Islamorada and watch the sunset over Florida Bay.
In Louisiana, Felix's Oyster Bar in the French Quarter.
In California, have an Anchor Steam at McCormick and Kuleto's in Ghiradelli Square overlooking the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge
In Tennessee, at the bar of the Bluebird Cafe for a night of country music.
In Alabama at the Floribama.
In Texas, have a Shiner Bach at the H3 at the Fort Worth Stock Yard.
In Ohio, have a Hudepohl at a Cincinnati Reds ballgame.
In Nevada at the casino bar of the Wynn.
In Pennsylvania have a Yuengling at Dinardo's Crab House in Philly.
In a South Carolina at the Quarter Deck at the Hilton Head Lighthouse.
In Arizona, at the pool bar at the Phoenician in Scottsdale.
In Washington, at the Pike Place Chowder House.
In New Mexico, at the bar of the Loretto Hotel in Santa Fe.
In Colorado, at the Chuchill Arms in the Brown Palace in Denver.
In New York, at 21.
In DC at Willards in the Intercontinental.
In West Virginia at Slammin' Sammy's at the Greenbrier.
In Kentucky at the Keenland Racetrack in Lexington.

I think there would be an overwhelming number of choices - and no agreement on "best" bar in a state. What if you refined the criteria a bit. Like best microbrewery, bar with a view, bar in the capital city, etc.

Not the same thing at all as simply showing up for a drink at any of the places on stumpworks' list! And also impossible to answer--I could name bars I like in my city, but how do I know if they would host you??
My advice is to pick the cheapest airport to fly into in each state, then research and contact bars in the vicinity of that airport.

Here's a map of New Mexico microbreweries. http://nmbeer.org We have a boatload in the Albuquerque area - perhaps one of them would be willing to host a fundraiser.

For California, I was going to suggest Sierra Nevada as well. They are pretty civic-minded and big enough that they can spare some money for donations. Anchor Brewing in SF is another possibility. I don't know the people at Stone (San Diego) but my understanding is that they are also pretty civic-minded, so you could give them a try.
In Colorado, try New Belgium in Fort Collins.
