My parents anniversary is in June and I would like to send them to a couple day trip to Door County. They have never been there and neither have I. I'm looking for some advice about things to do, places to stay, etc. They are in their late 60s - can get around fairly well - wouldn't do well on a hiking trip or anything like that though. Thanks!

I'm not sure Door county would be my first choice for a big anniversary. My DW and I have been going to National Parks for ours.
If you must stay in Wisconsin, check out the boat trip at Wisconsin Dells. We did enjoy that.
Given the choice between Wisconsin Dells and Door County, I'd pick Door County in a heartbeat. Although we enjoyed the boat trip, the Dells are the epitome of tacky tourist trap, IMHO.
There are some lovely B&Bs in Door County, if that's the kind of thing they enjoy. A fish boil at the White Gull Inn is a very Door County experience. There are some nice parks where the hiking is pretty, but not strenuous. The Peninsula Players are fun for an evening.

I like Door County. About three miles out of EggHarbor, we stayed at The Shallows. great place tight on the lake, it has a variety of accommodations. Hot tub, pool, use of canoe or rowboats, bonfires, continental breakfast. Faces west with wonderful sunset views.
Neat place.
Door County is one of my favorite places. We like to stay on the Lake Michigan side. They refer to it as the "Quiet Side". I love to get up really early and head for the beach to walk, read and listen to the gulls and waves. No one is around and it is so peaceful. During the day we explore the watery edges of the peninsula or head over to the bay side to hit some of the shops, galleries, produce stands, parks and restaurants. It is a beautiful place to be. It just depends on what sort of things your parents enjoy.
Most people prefer staying on the bay side because there is much more action.
I live an hour from the Dells and avoid it like the plague. It is great if you have kids who love water parks but for a 60 plus couple I don't see any draw.
