Dogwood Canyon

Going to have most of a day to spend in this area in July. Has anyone done the tram tour or the wildlife tour there? Are either worth it or are my husband and I (50+) better off biking/hiking to see things at a liesurely pace. Also wondering about the Back-Country Jeep tour there. Thanks.
