dog friendly hotels in mexico
HELP-------------------WOULD LIKE TO BRING 15 LB DOG----------on trip to mexico-------possibly chichen itza lodging----playa del carmen sounds nice too ---any advise, or suggestions-even if its to not bring dog...............

You should ask the editors to move this to the mexico/latin american forum.
And I would double check on legal requirements to bring a dog into Mexico and then back to the US. (Proof of rabies vaccinations, ID chip, etc.)

As above you'll want to re-post on the Mexico forum. Also you can look at Trip Advisor forums for Playa del Carmen. There is a much higher volumne of people participating who know about Mexico than here on Fodor's.
As to your question generally speaking, I do know people bring dogs on vacation with them. There's a lady right now on TA Puerto Vallarta forum collecting all kinds of information about how to do it.

Thank u all for your replies. Have all info for papers, shots etc for dog travel. Have been to BRINGFIDO.COM. Have scoured TRIPADVISOR. [Have been to Cancun 3x, Doplhins, Isla de Mujeres, Chichen Itza---its my adult daughter's dog......]

How long will you be gone?
Are you flying - and has the dog flown before (some absolutely hate it)?
Assuming this is a short trip the dog would probably be happier in a kennel. Check with the dog's vet about boarding.
