Are there any seats to avoid in the stadium? Its been 20 years since I have been there and I was 14 when I was there.
Am heading there for a game on Monday and am curious. Any seat recommendations?

I'm not sure what you mean by your question. Isn't this a personal preference thing?
I don't like the upper level seats and haven't sat in the bleachers since high school. The field level restrooms have been renovated in recent years, but I don't like to sit on that level beyond 1st or 3rd because of sight lines. My preferred view of the field is from the reserved level (inside 1st and 3rd), but the outdated restrooms (thanks a lot, Mr. McCourt) are a turnoff.
FWIW, attendance has been low (esp. mid-week), so you can 'improve' your seating by moving closer to home or going up a level. You can't go lower than your ticketed level. However, if you mean the Giants game on May 7th, it will be a well-attended, and you should give yourself a lot of time to get to the stadium and into your seats.
If you look at the Dodgers.com website, you'll see there are other seating options I haven't commented on. Premium seating in the Prime Ticket Club, Dugout Club, etc. Prime Ticket is box-type seats with a dining ledge and (when we sat there 2 years ago) access to an exclusive buffet-type food outlet. Food is good, but I didn't like the location beyond 1st and 3rd. Dugout Club is probably considered the 'best seats in the house' behind home plate on the field level. Food is (I think) included in the price and delivered to your seat. This is where most of the TV/movie industry people, pro athletes and other famous types sit.
My favorite is field between Dodger dugout and visitor dugout. Sunny afternoons, I prefer towards the back where you're not sitting in a sun baking. I like field because of view and better food options.
But most seats are pretty decent, so long as you're not behind someone who could get signed by the Lakers or in front of someone who spends the whole night shattering your eardrums. Loud clappers are also very annoying.
