Do I need AC in August?

My family and I are booked at the Savoy Hotel from Aug. 8th thru the 13th. I just reread their web site info and realized that they don't have ac. It seems like a nice place and I did get a good price but I'm a little worried about being hot. Can anybody advise me about the need for ac in August? Thanks.

It sounds like you should be on the europe board - and do mention which city - since I can;t imagine any hotel (vs B&B) in the US that doesn't have AC.
