Disposable razors - are they allowed in carryon bags?
I tried a search for this but could not come up with any firm info. Are they allowing razors blades (the disposable kind, like Track 2 or Mach 3) in carry on bags? I can't image what kind of damage you could do with one (other than a really nasty nick), but I just wanted to be sure. I checked the AA website, but it wasn't very specific. Thanks.

The word is that nothing sharp is allowed in carry-on, so I think it lets disposables out. I know, you can't do much damage, but what harm can you do with a nail clipper? They aren't allowed either. But, for the definitive response, I suggest you call your airline. Only they can tell you your airport's response to your question.

They ask that any sharp implement not be on your carry-on's, they say they will confiscate them from you. I forgot to remove my nail clippers from my carry-on, it went thru the x-ray & it was not caught. You might as well pack your disposable razors w/ your checked bag to make sure they don't get taken, or buy them when you reach your destination.

We flew from Calgary to Chicago about ten days ago and had disposable razors, nail clippers, nail files etc. taken.
However, when flying out of Chicago three days later, having purchased new razors, they were allowed. Each flight was with American Airlines.

How stringent they are depends more on the diligence of staff you deal with than the airline's policies. We flew (and cruised) two weeks ago. Security at both airport and port confiscated anything remotely sharp--disposable razors included. Both had large ziplock bags filled with all manner of items (from the sublime to the ridiculous).
I check anything that might raise suspicion. btw: I have always checked my trusty Swiss Army Knife, just in case--would hate to lose it.
