Disneyland - Day room rental question
Has anyone ever rented a room near Disneyland with the purpose of only using it during the day with no intention of spending the night?
Our group will be 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We'll be staying in Newport Beach but are doing one day in Disneyland. With my dad who loves his afternoon naps and two 3 year olds who will need a break, we were thinking of getting a hotel room we could go to for naps etc. I realize that the amount of people we have is too many for one room but it's likely that not all of us would even go back. More like the grandparents would take the boys back to the room for naps and the other adults would keep playing. Anyway, any advice regarding this would be helpful! Thanks!

Biggest issue is that no hotel will guarantee early check-in. That means you may not get into the room until 3, maybe 4 pm. Will that be ok or too late? I guess you might find one that will let you pay for early check in, then you could get in earlier.

My guess is your only hope would be to contact some of the major chain hotels - the Holiday Inn, Sheraton, and Marriott. Since they will have more business travelers they might do day rooms. But none of them are across from the main entrance and the Marriott is near the Convention Center.
None of the family-centric hotels/motels along Harbor Blvd are likely to offer day rooms since they are usually pretty booked up and that would screw up the housekeeping schedules.

If you are only going for a day or even two my suggestion is this: Rent the strollers there or bring your own ... those kids will fall asleep when they want and be awake when they feel like it and the adults in your group will just keep moving! A nap can be had on any bench in the park and there are several quiet places, especially in California Adventure where a true napper could catch a few winks with no problem! With this method, you can go from park opening to close for at least a day... maybe two. Good luck!

Thanks all. 3 or 4pm would actually be ok. I don't even require this room but my dad and my sister are all gung-ho about it. I think my dad really wants a nap. My DH, DS and I would power through and let DS nap in the stroller. I appreciate the input, we shall see what happens.
