I have been looking for a condo rental in Sanibel Island, Fl and came across a web site called loggerheadcay.com. When you put in your rental dates it takes you to another site called 'royalhawaii.com' which shows amazing low prices for condo rentals in Sanibel. Has anyone ever heard of this company for Sanibel condo rentals.

Don't know why, it worked for me. I tried Sep dates, try that if you need another month, it will show you a calendar. good luck

I am looking for a site to rent fully furnished small condo for one person in any of the following:

West Palm Beach,Ft.Myers, Venice, Key West, St Pete Beach or Clearwater and Sarasota, any in those areas with ease of traveling between any or some. thanks

What does " small" mean to you? One person? Five persons?
What do you want to be near? Winter baseball? Golf? Beach? Fishing?
How much per week?

Really, your two choices are VRBO or a real estate agent. Unless you know the area very, very well, the pitfalls of unmediated rentals like Craigslist are enormous in FL.

We stayed at Loggerhead Cay and it is a very nice complex and one of the more affordable condos on Sanibel. My husband likes it because it has a lap pool. The complex is on the beach but not all units face the beach. The buildings are set up in an open rectangle with the open end facing the beach and the other units facing the pool and grassy area. the less expensive units are farther back from the beach but no unit is very far.

We rented through VRBO. The site you are getting when you go to book is the rental agent for several units. I didn't check it out so I don't know if you can specify individual units. I have usually found less expensive rates when I used www.vrbo.com

I always checkout VRBO, cannot find 1br or studio there location..public transport closeby (though I have been told does not exist in FL)...

weekly $200 - $250 w/taxes; monthly $800-$1,000 w/taxes,
close to beach, grocery, restaurants

I would be surprised if you could do it in a desirable area for that price. Maybe Venice or Bonita Springs for twice that price but you would need a rental car in all of the places you are interested in except maybe West Palm or Ft Myers.
