Girls weekend in Chicago in a few weeks, and we are planning to do the Wendella sunset cruise. Looking for someplace within walking distance of Wendella (400 N Michigan Ave.) to have a fun- but not hugely expensive- dinner (no seafood). I was thinking either Volare or Emilios, but haven't been to either. Any thoughts about these two restaurants or others in the area?

The Purple Pig is very close and more interesting than Volare or Emilios. http://www.thepurplepigchicago.com/
The Wendella boats are at the southern end of the Mag Mile, there are literally hundreds of restaurants nearby. You could go to the Park Grill in Millennium Park which has an outdoor cafe, Banderas on Michigan for Mexican or Reza's for Persian.
You can search for restaurants on www.chicagoreader.com or www.metromix.com by neighborhood, price or cuisine.
