Dinner in Norman & Stillwater OK, Manhattan KS and Fayettevile, AR

I'm taking D on a college visit trip, which will include OU, Oklahoma State, K State and the University of Arkansas. Can anyone suggest good local places for dinner?

Stillwater: Agree with Eskimo Joes. T-shirt sales were second only to Hard Rock Cafe - pretty impressive. Their onion burger is worth every calorie.
Also, Hideaway Pizza. There is something about that oven and the old hippies in the kitchen that put out great food. Fried mushrooms with creamy Italian dressing.

I'll check with my OU friends for Norman. I haven't entered "enemy territory" in a while.

For K-State, per DD (a December graduate of same)...So Long Saloon in Aggieville (be prepared for a wait due to its small size) Kites (also in Aggieville) if you go early to avoid the college "bar scene;" CocoBolo's (at the NW corner of Aggieville) for Mexican; a little further west of campus: Little Apple Brewing Company.

In Manhattan, Coco Bolo's is fun &and has Latin American influenced food. Hibachi Hut has good Cajun, Creole and American casual dining.

Will you be stopping for lunch anywhere in Kansas where you would like a rec?

Thanks, everyone. We're trying to eat lunch on campus at every school. D is a pretty picky eater, so quality of the dorm food will be important to her.

Fayetteville and University of Arkansas--Dining "institutions"--Hugo's on Block St (it's located in the basement); Tim's Pizza on the south side of the Square (we've starting going to the restaurant/bar part on the right side); Jose's on Dickson St.

Newer popular restaurants include Common Grounds on Dickson St., Greenhouse Grill down near 6th St, and Ella's Restaurant on the UofA Campus.
