Dinner in Mendocino

We're headed to Mendocino this weekend, and will enjoy Mother's Day Brunch at The Little River Inn, where we're staying. We've never been there. We plan to arrive late Saturday afternoon and will be there 2 nights. Where should we eat on Saturday and Sunday evening? We like all kinds of food, including seafood. We've heard the restaurant at The Little River Inn is good, but since we're eating there on Sunday we'd like to try something else.

We always enjoy a casual supper in the lobby of the Mendocino Hotel. The room has great atmosphere and a menu that doesn't drain the bank.

I agree with the R'5's, the Moosse Cafe is lovely. We also enjoy the MacCallum House-very refined menu. Here's the website: http://www.maccallumhouse.com/pages/restaurant/

The Albion River Inn, south of Little River, is always outstanding.

I would not recommend the Mendocino Hotel. It is consistently panned for poor service and so-so food.

We like the Cafe Beaujolais, it is pricey but good. Be sure to make reservations.
