Dining Options near Grapevine Mills Mall

I'm going on a business trip to the Grapevine area and would like dining recommendations that would be within easy reach of the Mall, since I will be staying nearby. I've been several times to nearby areas and have stayed at Westlake and dined/shopped in Southlake and other nearby towns. However I have not stayed in Grapevine, have read old postings but would like more recent recommendations. I would prefer something I do not get at home, which would be Mexican, Cajun, Tex Mex and good steaks, to mention a few. I will not have a rental car.

Staying near the mall, I recommend Love & War in Texas. They actually have ALL of the food you are looking for: http://www.loveandwarintexas.com/ Their menu is grouped into "regions" of Texas, and there are steaks, Mexican, seafood and wild game. Prices are reasonable, and they have a good bar and live music several nights a week.

Saltwater Willy's is next door to L&W, and they have pretty good seafood. I don't know if you'd consider it cajun, but that's about as close as it gets in Grapevine. There is also South Prairie Oyster bar in downtown. It is a TINY place, and I have honestly never eaten there.

Cozymel's is the only Mexican food close to the mall. It's good, but overpriced.

There is the Grapevine Visitors' Shuttle that can take you to other parts of town for a small fare. https://www.grapevinetexasusa.com/Ma...0/Default.aspx
It picks up at local hotels and has stops near restaurants, downtown, etc.

If you are willing to take the shuttle, and are dining on an expense account, you MUST go to Bob's Steak and Chop House!! It's on Main Street just south of downtown Grapevine. This may well be the BEST steak you will ever eat!! My husband and I love to go to Bob's for special occasion dinners!

Across 114 is Saltgrass steak house. It's not Bob's in both quality or price, but it is good steaks for a reasonable price. They also have some seafood.

Hope you have a good visit in Grapevine!

I second the rousing acclaim for Bob's. Best in the DFW metro.

The steak house at the Gaylord Texan is also very good.
