I was just there last weekend, and dining options are few. Just outside of the ski area entrance is a family restaurant, and up the road about 10 miles in Davis there is a cafe "downtown" (you'll see why I put that in quotes if you go
and a restaurant adjacent to the Best Western. Next door to Canaan at Timberline ski area lodge there is an, ahem, "rustic" cafeteria and over-21 lounge. Not much else around the area... which in a way is sort of nice! Canaan is a fun ski mountain--have a great time.
