Family members aging from active 60's, 30's, a 7 yr. old to a 9 month old are planning to fly into Denver, renting a car and driving up to the Mt. Rushmore area. The trip will last 7 days, arriving early on day one and leaving late on day seven. None of us have been to the area, we all enjoy history and the outdoors.
My questions are:
How much time should we spend in Denver? We are thinking of time here toward the end of the trip. I have looked up info, but I am still not sure what to do know.
In South Dakota how much time will we need to see the major attractions i.e. Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, Crazy Horse, Wind Caves, and ?
Any hotel, restaurant, or other ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help,
Denver to Mt. Rushmore in late June
