Hi, I'm traveling from Denver to Cheyenne to
the Badlands and Black Hills for 8 days in September. I like to stay at unique hotels/motels/lodges/etc. Any ideas? Pam

We were in the Black Hills last month and stayed in Deadwood. Old historic hotel downtown is the Franklin. Trolleys run in the town and all the buildings are restored from the 1800s. We stayed there for four days while we toured the area and loved it. Also, the Palmer gulch resort in Hill city looked nice. Have fun
We stayed at the Strutton Inn B&B in Custer, South Dakota in May,2000. It was excellent, operated by Denise & Cary Strutton,& they had a dog named Bear. The accomodations, breakfasts, & hosts were great.
