Denver for a quick lunch near the Convention Center

There's a bubba gumps place (seafood) right across the way there and the service was fast. Food not exceptional but it's not too bad. They didn't have any problems doing separate checks for us.

there's a few more choices off of 16th street (a few blocks away) but it will a little time to get there and back.

This may help. #2 (the grand hyatt) is right across from the convention center.

cmcfong, are you familiar with Jason's Delis? They are great and there's one nearby.

I may be way off in my locale and maybe a Denverite can correct me. Mona's? It's a little north of lodo near the stadium. Had breakfast there last week and it was really, really good. They only do breakfast and lunch but it was the best meal I had in Denver.

It's easy to spot. There's a pair of legs that stick out over the door! Enjoy, we certainly did.

I think you'll like the Jason's Deli. Order at the counter - great soups, salads and sandwiches. There's one near the conv ctr.

Jason's Deli is a chain--has lots of choices, pretty good food, and would be fine if it is convenient.
Here is a link to the area. We were just there to go to the Art Museum (wonderful) and eat at Pallettes (even more wonderful--restaurant by Kevin Taylor). It is a very large municipal building and park area and may not have a lot of eating choices.
You might want to bring a sandwich and eat in the Park.

Bubba Gump's worked fine. The service was fast and pleasant and the food was OK. Most days when we had enough time we preferred to walk to the area around Larimor Square. We were spoiled for choice there. Denver certainly has some great restaurants!

We have children and grands there so go often. Pallettes is a Kevin Taylor restaurant and he and his wife are friends of DD's. CMC, you're right about good restaurants!! DD is the manager at John Elway's restaurant, and when you want the best steak in town, it's there. Fruition, Luce, Mizuna, El Barolo Grill are all just wonderful. Little Saigon for Vietnamese.
The art museum is very good. The architecture of the new library addition is terrific. I love Denver. Great place.

i did LOVE my lunch at Pallettes.

We met Kevin Taylor and I asked him his favorite dish. He said it was the smoked corn chowder at Pallette's. I had it and it was incredible.
