Denver and Breckenridge in June with young children

Jump to last reply

Hello! I'm new to the Fodor site, seems like some great advice you are willing to share. My husband, two sons (2 and 4) and I are headed west to Denver for our first visit. We'll fly into Denver from Ohio in mid-June. My brother and SIL live in Denver so we will be spending much of our time in the city with them. I have a three day conference in Breckenridge that begins the day after our arrival in Denver. We are planning to rent a car at the airport.

I'd love to hear any ideas of things to do in and around Breckenridge. We'll need a few activities to keep my husband and children entertained while I am in class and perhaps an evening activity or two as well. Information on interesting but kid-friendly restaurants in the Breckenridge area would also be welcomed.

When returning to Denver after the conference we are considering driving to the Garden of the gods. Any other day trips near Denver worthwhile to consider with little ones? What restaurants should we try while in Denver? My brother does not yet have children, so we would love some some advice from families with little ones.

Really appreciate your input!
