Denver Airport to Beaver Creek
We will be going to Beaver Creek in March (5 days). We have a car reserved, but now we're thinking we won't really need it.
From what I've read there is good transportation or enough on-mountain restaurants to make a car unnecessary.
What are the transportation options from the Denver Airport to the Resort?

If you are staying in side the Beaver Creek resort there is a free shuttle available - just call. There are shuttle services available from the airport that charge per person. If there are only two of you, probably a good way to go, if you have more in your party the car rental may be more economical, plus you can drive over to Vail to ski or at night for dinner. There is a shuttle between Vail and Beaver Creek, but probably not as often as the shuttles run within Vail and Beaver Creek. I have found Vailnet.com to be a helpful site.

You might try Colorado Mountain Express (www.cmex.com). They run on the hour from the airport in Denver to both Beaver Creek and Vail. Unless you're planning to drive to Aspen or another resort while you're there other than Vail, you definitely won't need a car.

The Colorado Mountain Express shuttle is about $125 for one person roundtrip from Denver to Vail. You also have to keep in mind that if you rent a car, most hotels charge for daily parking as well, so be sure to figure that in. A car definitely would give you the freedom to check other really cool areas, and that part of Colorado is definitely worth exploring. But if you're planning to just stay in Vail/Beaver Creek, having a car really isn't necessary.
