Does Delta Comfort + gives you 1 checked baggage free. Or it's on,y the slight extra space you get

MY UNDERSTANDING ---- It is just extra space. But since I use a Delta AE card, I always get the free checked bag so I am not absolutely certain that you do not get a free checked bag with the Comfort option. But at the moment I would bet that you do not.

I was curious and did some looking on the Delta website; it appears that unless you have some status with Delta, this seat category will still have you paying for your bags. You really should consider Southwest.

You don't. Legroom is totally worth it, though. I swear Delta took away the legroom in the economy to make room for the comfort plus. And I'm only 5'8! I did both regular economy and c+ last trip.

Legroom depends on the plane. We were on two Delta flights yesterday - SFO to Detroit, the legroom was perfectly fine. Detroit to DCA, it wasn't.

I agree with sf7307, I flew last month JFK-SEA (newer plane with TVs on back of seats, but less leg room) and then SEA-JNU (older plane but more leg room). I think it's really dependent on the plane.

Maybe, if you are short enough. I have yet to find any airline that has adequate knee room for some at 6-2".

Thank you all

I too agree that Delta comfort+ does not offer checked baggage

And it's not worth the upgrade. The amount of extra leg room is minimal. The flights from NYC to Florida (I just flew from Orlando to LGA last week) didn't have seatback video systems, so unless you want a free drink, you're getting precious little on a domestic upgrade on a non-cross-country flight.
