Dangerous places recommended in the Hawaii "Revealed" guidebook series?

Dangerous places recommended in the Hawaii "Revealed" guidebook series?
I have taken note of the recent postings regarding potentially unsafe places recommended in the Hawaii "Revealed" guidebook series (ie: Olivine pools). When I read about the recent drownings at Olivine I put a big sticky note in the guidebook - Don't Go Here! I have the "Revealed" guidebooks for both Maui and Kauai and wonder if there are any OTHER places that I should mark the same way??
Some of the posters on the existing threads made me think it was more than just the Olivine Pools that recommended in these guides that should be avoided. Since DH and I are midwesterners born and bred, and have zero ocean experience, we may not easily recognize the conditions that make a specific spot dangerous.
If you are aware of any other specific spots listed in the books that we should stay away from, or exercise extreme caution at, please let me know!

I would say Queen's Bath on Kaua'i's north shore qualifies. It can be dangerous even in the summer when it looks calm elsewhere.
In the winter the rocky cliffs at the far right end of Lumahai Beach on Kaua'i would be another spot. People get swept of those cliffs every year it seems. It is safer in the summer, but still excercise caution.
There have been recent drownings at both places.

I've read that the north shores of the islands tend to have worse undertow and currents, especially in the winter time.
Maui's South beaches are very placid and safe. Could you stick to those? Big Beach was the only place where we experienced questionable currents in South Maui.

While there are hidden treasures out there to be found a flag should go up on most of the spots tagged off the beaten path. Chances are locals know these locations and would probably be a good source to find out why most people don't go there. Like is it on private property or quite dangerous etc.

when I first read about the hidden trails at the falls, I knew it was a bad decision on Andrew and Harriets's part to suggest to the general public thier adventure. Tragicly, I would not be surprised if the'blue bible' was found by the bodies. We may never know what made both people fall. May they rest in peace.

Just so you know, Maui's "south beaches" that lynnejoel1015 mentions are actually on the west-facing shores of the island (the plural for "shores" is deliberate). The 2 lobes of Maui (South Maui and West Maui) both have western shores. These are the best locations in regards to weather and safe swimmimng. Thus even South Maui's best beaches are on the western shore.
No fault of lynnejoel1015. Maui's complex geography and funky naming are just plane confusing.
