want to stay one or two nights the end of september before catching the ferry to catalina island. i've checked tripadvisor and the reviews of many of the hotels are not good at all. would like to keep it around $150/night. anybody have any recommendations.

Blue Lantern
Don't know how close it is to the ferry, but I do know they have specials and the pictures on the website of Blue LAntern are true tot eh hilltop overview of teh harbor.
